Welcome to my new blog.

I’ve been wanting to create a little space of my own for a while now—a place where I can share my photography, creativity, memories, and the things that make me happy. After some pretty dramatic events and a difficult chapter in my life, I’m slowly finding my way back to my hobbies, my creativity, and myself. There are some things I won’t be putting here because I want this space to be different. I want this to be my happy spot.A place where I can come to create, share beautiful memories, fill my creative cup, and hopefully inspire other people to do the same.

I’m also hoping that this little corner of the internet can become part of my fresh start. I’m working toward getting back on my feet, paying off bills, getting caught up, building something for myself, and creating a life where I can simply be me, be happy, and support my kids. I don't have everything figured out yet, but I'm taking it one step at a time—and I'm excited to have something positive to pour my energy into.

And what better way to start than with a session that was completely us?

This session was about painting each other and having fun. There wasn't really a plan beyond stepping outside of our comfort zones, opening our minds, and being completely free to create.

We wore simple white shirts, blue jeans, and went barefoot. Our backdrop was nothing more than white sheets. Everything was so simple—but somehow, our bodies became the art.

And that was the whole point. There was something about doing something we weren't really “supposed” to do that made it even more fun. Painting yourself is one thing, but painting each other, getting completely covered in color, and watching the mess grow was a whole different experience. The messier we got, the more fun we had.

By the end, we were basically just two colorful, happy messes.

And honestly, I think that's one of the most beautiful parts of creating art. Sometimes you have to stop worrying about what something is supposed to look like and just let yourself make a mess. Let your imagination take over. Let yourself try something different. Let yourself create simply because it makes you happy.

We even went to Safeway afterward covered in paint, looking like we had just walked straight out of an art studio. We got some compliments, which honestly made the whole thing even better.

This session was especially meaningful because I got to do it with my daughter and a photographer friend I've known for quite some time. It wasn't about creating the most perfect photograph or following a formula. It was about spending time together, being creative, laughing, and making something that felt like us.

I love doing photo shoots just for fun. Sometimes you don't need a reason, a client, or a perfectly planned concept. Sometimes you just need an idea, a camera, some paint, and the freedom to see where it takes you.

These are the shoots that fill my creative cup with gold glitter. ✨

And maybe that's what this new chapter is about for me, too.

Finding my way back to the things that make me feel alive. Creating without overthinking. Making beautiful memories with my kids. Letting myself dream again. And slowly rebuilding a life that feels like mine.

So here's to a new blog, a fresh creative outlet, and finding beauty in the middle of the mess.
